Import Expo, I feel as if this can be categorized as “the sh!t you should’ve shown at WekFest or Post WekFest”. For those of you who registered or attempted to register at WekFest (or even attended the show) you probably heard that there should’ve been a lot more cars showcased at the event. Unfortunately, due to the popularity of the show and the time frame in which they allowed the registration to open gave little to no chance for possible candidates to enter their cars. In a way IE served as a second chance for a few of those who missed their spotlight at WF. Even though I’m a big automotive fan especially the import culture, I was a little hesitant to go to this show just for the simple fact that it was scheduled at such a weird date. The reason I say this is because the timing at which this event was held is sort of awkward because it really was sandwiched in between two of the biggest events to take place in the East Coast (Wekfest & H20). But to say the least I ended up going anyway and overall it was a pretty decent show. I felt it wasn’t that great because there was an element of excitement missing and the vibe of the whole event was pretty dull. I’m not trying to bash the guys who coordinated the event, if anything I/we should be grateful they took the time to organized such an event and provide a great location.
There was just something missing, I wasn’t sure if the venue was too big or it was the lack of attendees that gave the event a very empty and stale atmosphere. The variety of cars that were present at the show was definitely not a factor, but I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of Hondas/Acura that caught my eyes. I noticed that these couple of years the Honda scene was slowly fading in the background as “higher ” end cars are starting to become more affordable… or people are just making more money… who knows! but the point is they are just a dying breed (in the East Coast at least). It was definitely nice to see some quality builds since the Honda scene here is pretty infamous/synonymous I should say with the “un-impressionable high schoolers attempting to do ricer burnouts and fly by’s at the local meets”. But all in all I think we had a great time and enjoyed our trip to AC and we can’t wait for H20 to come any faster!

Not sure what this color is called, but def. an eye candy. And the best part is it’s an oem jdm color
By the time the show was over, we were all pretty drained so we went back to the hotel and called it a night. A couple of the guys we came with decided to head back to VA/MD right away and some decided to gamble but we thought it be best to just relax the next day and enjoy the boardwalk before the trip back home.
And thats the end of our trip, we hope to see you guys at H20!
